Accessing Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea
Updated:
1st September 2024

Fantasy Springs made its debut at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024. This is the biggest expansion in the history of Tokyo Disney Resort, and it’s set to take guests on an adventure through the realms of Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan. With four cutting-edge attractions, unique merchandise, themed dining options, and a swanky hotel right in the park, it’s going to be an unforgettable experience!

The new Tokyo DisneySea port (that’s right at DisneySea they are ports & not lands like in other Disney destinations), is said to have cost around ¥320 billion (roughly £1.6 billion) and marks the biggest expansion for the park, covering around 140,000 square meters.

What story will you find?
Fantasy Springs - Rapunzel's Lantern Festival

Accessing Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea is pretty easy. It’s nestled between the ports of the Arabian Coast and the Lost River Delta. This eighth port is all about a magical spring that opens up to a fantasy world, all inspired by the beloved Disney Animation films “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan.”

You’ll be serenaded by beloved songs from the movie like “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and of course, “Let It Go.”

Accessing Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea
Fantasy Springs - Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey
Firstly, it’s a good idea to get to know Disney Premier Access, Standby Pass, and the Tokyo Disney Resort app before diving into this section. Familiarizing yourself with these will make everything a lot easier!

Because of the huge demand, access to Fantasy Springs will be restricted for the time being. If you don’t meet the criteria listed below, you won’t be able to enter. This could change based on how crowded it gets each day, and we anticipate this system will be in place for at least the first few months, maybe until the end of the year.

Access Option One: To get into the area at a specific time, you’ll need a valid Tokyo DisneySea park ticket along with either a free Standby Pass or a paid Disney Premier Access for one of the attractions. Once you’re in Tokyo DisneySea, you can grab these through the official Tokyo Disney Resort App. We would recommend arriving at least 1 hour prior to the park opening time so you are in the queue and through the security gates at the earliest opportunity. Once through and before you do anything else, check the app and secure your passes.

You can buy another Disney Premier Access pass after an hour since your last purchase and you can get another Standby FREE Pass after two hours. This is the same for the priority passes you’ll see on the app as well, but these ones do not get you into Fantasy Springs.

Current DPA Cost: Fantasy Springs Disney Premier Access Attractions (2,000 yen per person)

We’d recommend aiming to secure Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey first since this is the one that is most likely to sell out first, followed by Rapunzel and the Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure. This would also be the same order for the FREE standby passes with Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies being the least likely to go that fast.

Once you have secured your passes, make a mobile order for one of the three restaurants in Fantasy Springs as again these are incredibly busy and the wait times maybe longer than some of the rides. Mobile ordering will give you a time to come back and collect your food or sit for dining. This is again done via the TDR app.

Access Option Two:  You can also stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel (see hotel section below) as these booking types come with a Fantasy Springs Magic Ticket and it’s own private entrance to the port or alternatively, stay at any Tokyo Disney Resort hotel and buy a Disney Vacation Package. These packages will guarantee you entry into Fantasy Springs with the 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic ticket.

Please note that Fantasy Springs Hotel and Disney Vacation Packages can only be purchased from four months before the date of your stay. These sell out very fast and are pay in full at time of booking, so you will want to make sure you have the funds available and ready of you wish to book this type of accomodation package.

There’s no regular standby line at this time for any of the attractions in Fantasy Springs. To enjoy the rides, you’ll need a Disney Premier Access, Standby Pass, or the 1-Day Passport Fantasy Springs Magic ticket.

Fantasy Springs Hotel & Guaranteed Guests Entry
Tokyo DisneySea - Fantasy Springs Hotel

If you manage to snag a reservation at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, you can come and go as you please. But to enjoy the rides, you’ll need to follow the steps mentioned earlier or grab the special 1-Day Passport Fantasy Springs Magic. As a guest at the hotel, you can purchase this ticket (or a regular one) during your stay, including on the days you check in and out.

The 1-Day Passport Fantasy Springs Magic gives you access to the Priority Access Line for all attractions, and you can use it as many times as you want, including for Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. Plus, hotel guests get to use a special entrance or the archway from the monorail station.

Just a heads up, getting a reservation at the Fantasy Springs Hotel can be quite a challenge. You’ll need to book it exactly four months in advance, starting at 11 a.m. (Japan time).

A Vacation Package is the priciest choice (costs change based on the hotel and how many people are in your group).

However, it’s super convenient since it guarantees you a day at Fantasy Springs. Plus, these packages include a 1-Day Passport for Fantasy Springs magic on one of your Tokyo DisneySea days, so you’ll enjoy all the same benefits mentioned earlier.

These Vacation Packages are really popular and tend to sell out fast. They’re usually available in monthly blocks about 4-5 months in advance. If you are interested in one of these packages, let us know and we’ll keep an eye on the reservations for updates on when they drop, we’ll let you know. Once again these are pay in full at time of booking only options – so be fund ready.
