Disney Cruise Line Offers New Perks for Onboard Placeholder Offer

Starting with December 2025 sailings, guests can save more when using their Onboard Offer placeholder reservation on select sailings. A placeholder reservation is an open-ended reservation that allows guests to select their future sail date later. A deposit must be paid while onboard and is fully refundable if the reservation is canceled. Once a sail date is chosen in place of the Placeholder, standard cancellation fees apply.

In addition to saving 10% on most sailings, with this new perk, a list of qualifying 20% and 25% discounted sailings will also be available to choose from.

If a guest’s reservation becomes eligible for a higher discount, it will be automatically applied to their booking. If they have already paid for their reservation in full, the refund will be returned to the original form of payment. An updated confirmation will be sent showing the discounted voyage fare.

Additionally, guests will soon be able to apply their placeholder reservation to save 10% on select Concierge staterooms on select sailings (Categories 02B and lower). The onboard credit for Concierge Staterooms previously provided as part of this promotion has been replaced with the 10% savings. Additional blockout dates apply.

If a guest’s reservation becomes eligible for a 10% concierge discount, it will be automatically applied to their booking. If they have already paid for their reservation in full, the refund will be returned to the original form of payment.

The offer can be used to book up to 2 staterooms on one sail date per household onboard, regardless of the number of adults in the household. Staterooms are available to sleep a variety of guests, so be sure to check with your Dreams Unlimited Travel agent for larger parties.

The cruise must commence within 24 months of the Placeholder Reservation being booked, or the reservation will automatically be canceled.
