Over the past few weeks, Mickey has traveled across France and Spain to bring moments of magic to children in Marseille, Madrid and the surrounding areas.
First, accompanied by Minnie, he surprised children hospitalized in the pediatric service of La Timone Hospital in Marseille, including painting workshops with the VoluntEARS and shared moments with the children. Laughter filled the rooms and corridors of the ward, much to the delight of parents and medical staff alike! The next day, young people at the Foyer de l’Enfance La Louve in Aubagne also enjoyed an afternoon of celebration, fun, and escape.
To continue, his trip, Mickey was accompanied by Jose Alfaro Navarro, Disneyland Paris Ambassador 2024-2025, native from Spain! Together with the Disney VoluntEARS, they visited the General Hospital in Albacete, Jose’s hometown, and El Niño Jesús Hospital in Madrid.

As always, Disney VoluntEARS accompanied Mickey and Jose to participate in painting workshops and decorate playrooms and libraries in pediatric wards with bright colors.

Carlos Marcia, a pediatrician at Albacete General Hospital, says that this type of day is a real “joy” for everyone. Ester Crespo Espinosa, entertainment manager at the Hospital del Niño Jesús in Madrid, concluded the day with these words: “Today didn’t feel like a hospital day for the children.”

Adriel, 14, shares why the visit was important to him and his grandmother: “She always told us that one day she would take all her grandchildren to Disneyland Paris. I just sent her a photo with Mickey, telling her that Disneyland Paris came to see me!”
